How to Add a Profile Photo

Looking for some help with assigning a profile picture? We're here to help!

Two Methods

There are two methods for assigning a Profile Picture: The DiscoverHealing.com Method, and the Gravatar.com method. The DiscoverHealing.com method allows you to add your profile picture directly to your account through the DiscoverHealing.com account page, whereas the Gravatar.com method stores your profile picture on a separate site that is then linked to DiscoverHealing.com via your Gravatar account.

If that sounds confusing, don't worry! We'll guide you through whichever method you choose.

DiscoverHealing.com Method

  1. First, navigate to DiscoverHealing.com, login, then click on the My Account button. You should see this screen:

  2. Next, click on the camera icon at the bottom right of the portrait field:
  3. Select the "Upload Files" option, then click the "Select Files" button.
  4. Now, select the image from your computer that you would like to add to your account. Once finished, this image will appear in the Media Library. Select the image that you uploaded, then click "Set As Avatar":
  5.  Congratulations! You've assigned your profile picture - lookin' good! Like the site notice says above your new profile photo, please allow 15 minutes for your changes to be applied site-wide.


Gravatar Method:

  1. Create a Gravatar Account
    Head to www.gravatar.com and click on "Get Started Now"

    Then choose a username.
  2. Choose an Image
    This can be done by either uploading a picture from your computer or taking a new one.

  3. Crop/Adjust Your Photo
    Alter your image to your liking using the provided tools, then click done.

  4. "Custom Domains"
    Custom domains are available for purchase via Gravatar, but they are not necessary for utilizing an account. We recommend clicking "Do It Later" for now!

  5. All finished! All accounts associated with the email address registered to your Gravatar account will reflect this image!
For any future edits, simply log into your Gravatar account and click on the "Avatars" button on the left to choose a new image/edit your current image.
