VAT Tax charted in the European Union and other countries
We are required to charge the VAT (value added tax)
The European Union reached out to us last year 2022 and required us to register with them. We are getting our own VAT numbers for each country. Some countries may take up to a year to get. In the mean time we are required to start charging the VAT tax right away if we don't, they will heavily fine us and possibly ban us from being able to sell any of our products in the EU. We explained we are based out of US and even hired a couple attorneys that focus on this and there is no way around it if we want to sell to countries in the EU. The VAT tax is collected and paid to the country in the European Union that the customer resides in not to the United States.
